    Default Random key? (Feature request)

Is it possible to transpose randomly, not just in preset steps? I can't seem to find the option, and a forum search yields nothing.

    Regards

If you mean the automatic transposition practice feature (graduation hat icon), no. A defined interval must be selected.

    Yes, exactly that.

Is there a reason for this? It's quite a shame to be without that option.

    Cool idea.

Another one for "improvisation training" is a Random Chord Program ...where the User sets the Duration usually 1 to 4 Bars of the ' Mystery Chord' and ANY CHORD may play for that time.

The Player does not attempt to identify the Chord ( though he could )..but the actual idea is to Play and start on any Note and resolve to a Chord Tone or Extension in Real Time...
Then after another Bar or Two- new chord etc.

Resolution of Phrases to chord tones and extensions is the Basis of all Improvising .

With the Random Chord Generator - the Player could either Identify the Chord and Play ( also good for ear training )
OR walk the tightrope and just start playing chromatically and other ways till He lands on a chord tone or just 'play what he hears' nearly instantaneously- the Mind always generates 'good' notes.

    Default Random key transpositions

I'd like to see a "random" button for key transpositions in the PRACTICE tab. I think randomly going through all 2 keys would be great for ear training practice

    Default Random key changes

    Hello,

It's both a question (if this feature does exist and I missed it) and a feature request..

They are in the forums (the jazz forums) number of file with listing of II-V-I and other sequence in "any key".. they are in "any key" but always in the same order of key.

iReal Pro allows for a change of key and that's great.

Working on a chords grid is best if it is possible in any key

Is there a way to have a random key change ?

If this features doesn't exist I'd love in a future release to have the option to randomly change the key every N charts...

    Merry Christmas to all iRealers

Experiment with the practice feature (graduation hat icon)
There is no setting for "random" but you can specify an up or down interval for each repeat of the form or looped section.
Try ii-V-I with a +6 shift and play through all 12 in the same position.

Then add an increase tempo setting, say 4-5 bpm....

Default Random keys in Practice mode

In Practice mode, you can set an interval for the next repetition of the song or excercise. To make the excercise slightly harder, a 'random' button would be perfect. That way you wouldn't know beforehand in which key the next repetition of the song will be.

    Default Random Key

When practising with my students, I like the feature "increasing the key each time the chorus is played". I would also like "random key" feature (for example random new key and transpose the sheet after each chorus). This could be good for ear training and variability practicing.

    Thank You for considering this
