In the editor, select: set AND transpose. You can then edit the chart in the new key.

    Hi,
Even with set and transpose, I can't get the key to default to the new key on either iPad or osx 10. THanks.

Be sure you are selecting song transpose (for that chart only) and not global transpose (all charts-for a transposed instrument)

On the iPad most of the songs are showing up in the correct/default concert key, and I can transpose those and save. But, trying to get one song from F to Ab, it wound up in G#. Now the original song (different file), still in F, shows up in the transposition button (bottom right) as Ab. I can move it to any other key except Ab. Thanks.

    You have encountered "enharmonic" transposition.
    Automatic transposition is complex.
Search "enharmonic" for multiple disussion threads.

Are you sure the song is in F major? If it is set to F minor you will have G# (minor) as the transpose option.
Also you can lock a song's key as the default key in Song edit>Info. Select the new key then tap Set and Transpose.
