    Hello Larry,
you do not have to insert extra spaces, but just add barlines. In a 4/4 song with two chords in the first measure, insert a barline on the 3rd beat for instance.

    Additional comments:
There already is one player style - Jazz Double time swing that doubles each measure (admittedly it will probably not be appropriate for Love Dance.)
For a song in 3/4 you could change the time sig to 6/4 (there is no 8/4 for doubling 4/4.)

Default Thanks - that works perfectly...why didn't I think of that?

Probably would be worth adding a generic "double-time feel" function at some point. Thanks for your help and a terrific app.

    AudioBus !!!!

This is the biggest thing to hit the mobile music-making world in a long time. It ties together audio and MIDI for all iOS supported. It would be FANTASTIC to have iRealB piped through my iPhone and iPad while I play guitar or bass using JamUp or another guitar app. I could also record it using another app. All enabled thanks to AudioBus.

    Pretty please

    Thanks,

I have applied to AudioBus for iReal b to become one of the compatible apps but they have a long list of developers in line to get their apps on it so we'll have to wait patiently.

    Tuning

This has be asked elsewhere in the forum.

The ability to change to tuning of a score e.g. 1/2 flat.

Amin7, D7, Cmaj7 would still be displayed but the actual played pitch would be Ab min7, Db7, Cbmaj7

This way it wouldn't be necessary to tune your guitar to concert pitch.

I would permanently set irealB to 1/2 flat.

    Is this feature planned?

    No plans currently.

    iOS only

Once we build in Audiobus support you should be able to put it through a pitch changer in the filter. Half a step (semitone) will probably not distort the drums too much.

If you use Amplitube (or similar) it can take an audio file (you can export audio from iReal b) and re-pitch it.

It might be possible to use Background audio and feed your guitar (if it is an electric) through an app with a pitch pedal taking it up a half step (semitone.)
Wear headphones and you will need iRig or similar to connect your guitar.

    Also android:

You can currently use a pitch changer (pedal etc.) on the audio output of your device that runs iReal b.

There is some information on background audio here:

    Thanks for your idea.

It would be nice if highlighting of the currently played chord could be disabled.

Do you mean the measure being highlighted as it is playing? Turn it on/off here:
    iOS - Hub>Settings>Playback location
    Mac - Settings>Playback location
Android - currently v1.6 does not. Coming in the future.
