    shin1ro,

Four is the first jazz tune I ever learned and has always been one of my favorites.

    Cheers,

    Default R.I.P. Nancy King

R.I.P. Nancy King (June 15, 1940 - August 5 2025) was a jazz singer from Portland, Oregon. Known for her masterful scatting and elastic range, King performed in worldwide tours and recordings, as well as collaborations with such artists as Jon Hendricks, Vince Guaraldi, Ralph Towner, Dave Friesen and others.

I attended a homage to Jon Hendricks show featuring Kurt Elling. He invited Nancy King to sing the Jon Hendricks’ lyrics to Miles Davis’ Four.

… Baby, so, the truth, honor, and happiness
    And one thing more
Meaning love and that's the real score
And more than enough when times are tough
And though they may not comprise a lot
Still, you only got those four
    And there ain′t no more
