Default How to restore settings on a downloaded song to the original?

I have a downloaded song from the forum. Proceeded to tweak rhythm style, bpm, etc. while learning. Would like to restore those settings to original. Is there a way to do this?

If the song was imported as part of a playlist, or was added to a playlist before you experimented with changes, look there.(unless you were experimenting with one in a playlist)

If you can locate the song you imported in the forums, you could import it anew.

If you edit the title of your current chart in your song library to make a slight change (add a period, or anything),
When you reimport the (original) tune, your app won’t see it as a duplicate and add a number to the title.

    Default How to revert "Style"?

I have a chart open in iRP, and decide to try out a different "Style" (e.g. Latin / Argentina: Tango). I then want to revert back to what it was. Is there a way to do this? The song seems to remember "Tango".

First, it’s important to note that the style written on the chart is the transcriber’s suggestion and may or may not coincide with the iRp style setting in the player.
If the transcriber’s suggested style isn’t an existing iRp player style, the player makes its best guess (with variable success).
Also iRp player styles each have a default tempo which may have been changed before posting. Likewise initial instrument choices and mixer settings could also have been altered as well.

When a chart is posted in the forums the various settings the poster designated are included along with the chart.

When those settings are altered by a user, they are changed there is no “official” original to which you can revert.

There are two ways I can use to try out various adjustments on a chart without loosing the initial version.

    1. Create a DUPLICATE and make trial changes to that chart.
    Edit>Duplicate done, save
A number will be added to the title of the duplicate chart.
You can replace the number with your initials (or code) to easily keep track of your versions in the your iRp library.

    Or

    2. Add the original chart to a playlist.
Share>Add to Playlist …..Can be existing or a new playlist called “test” or whatever.
Key changes or other settings changes made to the chart in the playlist affect only the chart in the playlist, not the original in your library.

In your current situation, perhaps if you could locate the “original” chart in the Forums (assuming that’s where you got it) and import it again, it would import with a number added to the title (since the title already exists in your library) but would have its initial settings.

    Yup, it ain’t easy…
