Live freely. Respect the planet.
Composer name(s) are not enclosed in parentheses "( )" in iReal pro.
Parentheses are used for describing performed-by versions as part of the song title or to clarify an ambiguous title because many different songs can share the same title.
Thanks for your posts

I didn’t understand the meaning of the post: I included the composer’s name in the correct field and in the parentheses the name of the performer, as you point out - what was wrong?

Here is an updated chart for better clarity.
O Holy Night [Dion version] - Adolphe Adam
The issue was the thread title that was originally O Holy Night (Adolphe Adam) We inserted a hyphen and removed the parentheses per guidelines.
Presenting a consistent format and style is important. It improves the user experience and reduces confusion when attempting to convey information.
The iReal pro forums has (for the most part) developed and maintains a consistent look and feel despite of thousands of different contributors. To accomplish that requires everyone's cooperation.
No worries, “helpful” suggestions are often posted as “reminders” rather than corrections and are more for new and future members to discover.
When needed, we prefer using “round” parentheses “()” rather than “square” enclosure brackets “[ ]” because the brackets are also used in the (usually invisible) HTML code in both the Forums and app/charts.
Thank you for your generous participation here over many years.

Re- title: I hadn’t realized it, I know parentheses are deprecated. Copied/pasted/didn’t check, my bad.
I’ll remember the brackets/parentheses difference. I find parentheses often in titles so use brackets to distinguish content.
Thank you, Bob

I tried editing a post and when I tapped in the message field, with all the original text, it disappeared (I did NOT tap on “delete post)
Same with my last post - nowhere does it even say “post deleted” 😳
It’s a Mystery. Fortunately things had not gone too far and I was able to restore your post. (That’s often not possible). The “human interface” across different systems and devices is usually the issue. example: on small touch screens it’s so easy to accidentally contact a nearby spot on the screen causing unintended consequences.
Different (but related) topic… remember to frequently generate and save back-up’s of your iRp library.
