Songs sound completely different exported via midi

I bought iReal to make some of my own backing tracks in different styles. I want some better sounding instruments, so I downloaded cakewalk and a bunch of vsts. I figured how to assign the midi to the vsts, but when I play it, the song sounds way off. Usually bass and drums are similar to how they sound in iReal pro, but the piano is usually way off and doesn’t even sound like the song.
How to import these correctly? Or is there a better free program than cakewalk that does it correctly? Thanks

I’m going to answer my own question: just export to phone and use GarageBand, it sounds great and easy to edit.
I don’t know what cakewalk does to these files but it messes it up

Hint:
The Forums have a number of discussions that include “GarageBand” that can be easily found using SEARCH (magnifying glass icon at the top of most any Forum page).
