Staff Notation for Piano Chords

I wonder if the displayed chord voicings are always identical to the ones which are played during playback?

If your goal is to be able to accompany and improvise jazz tunes using a "Fakebook", you will be happier to learn to play chords without needing staff notation as soon as possible.
