Marcia Maria is a jazz singer born in Rio de Janeiro , Brazil , who died on July 27, 2018. She is a bossa nova specialist.

She made her debut in 1968 in Rio de Janeiro . After experiencing success in her native country, she left for Europe in 1981, where she continued most of her career, performing in many French festivals. She lived in Belgium for nine years. Later she lived in Paris.
