A great feature of iReal pro is that the player-accompaniment track will be somewhat different each time it is created.
(Just like human jazz musicians)
So except for chord quality choices and the addition of "slash-chords" to designate a bass-note (one per beat), the user has limited control over bass-lines.
The selected player style will also affect the bass-line. Some styles, jazz Latin/swing and jazz swing two/four for example, vary walking-bass or not, on A vs. B sections the first and last trips through the form. Other styles, like Latin Cuban cha-cha, change rhythms as the form repeats.
While the player isn't designed to play "as written" bass lines, that doesn't stop users from trying:
