I'm no musician or musicologist, so I don't really know, but I think I like the looks of yours better, for some reason.

Mine adheres to music convention. Your way could be valid (although not usual - like I said, I have never seen it) but there is no reason I can think of to have it the way you had it when it can be done in this way.
