    Can anyone correct me...
Sack Of Woe - Cannonball Adderley
This should be an Eb transposed version. My knowledge is too small to create it correctly.
    Many Thanks

Only post charts directly from your app in iRp format so they can be downloaded from the forums into the app and opened in the iRp editor. Don’t post charts as an image or text file, .zip file, .pdf file, attachment or link to drive, Dropbox etc.

The easiest way to solve your transposition concerns would be to write an iRp chart copying the notation chart. iRp will transpose instantly to any key.

It's easy to input a new song

    Android

    iOS

You can use pause/play, pause/play step through it slowly.

Then share it in this thread.

    Do this
    Share a chart
    https://technimo.helpshift.com/hc/en...d-chart/?p=all

Give it a try, ask for help with what you share.

EVERYONE that has shared a new iRp chart had to write their FIRST chart…

    johand,

Your chart is incomplete. Here's a new chart. It needs some explanation.

The tune structure is rhythmically complex, and iReal Pro doesn't have a direct way to deal with it, so I've used a couple of work-arounds.

I've put the time in Swing Two/Four. The timing built into that mode is that on the head the In (Intro) and the A section are played in 2/4, and the B and later sections are played in 4/4. After the head, the whole tune is in 4/4 until the last head, when the In and A revert to 2/4.

Since we only want the Solo section to repeat, I've designated the Head as In (Intro), which doesn't repeat. As I want the second part of the Head to swing in 4/4, I've written in the walking bass, otherwise it would still sound like 2/4.

The Solos section is written as a B section so that it will play in 4/4. If it were an A section, it would play the first time in 2/4.

Finally, after the number of specified Solos are played, the Coda goes to a shortened Intro, then jumps up to the beginning of the Head and goes to the end.

There's no way in iReal Pro to accurately notate the Ostinato Intro and first part of the Head. The chords labelled D1 etc. force iReal Pro to play just the bass note. Ignore the error message that pops up. You can't notate half beats in iReal Pro, so the beats are on 1 and 3 instead of 1 and 2-1/2.

Finally, the ending is more abrupt than the recording, because there was no way to tack on the ending of the latter.

    Jer,
I learn really cool iRp tricks from you.
Using Root1 chords to drive a bass line is a slick idea.
Thanks for your detailed explanation too.

    Many Thanks Mr Engelbach

I only need to play the melody, 1 solo, and the melody again.
    What should be removed then?

Change the number of repeats from 3 to 1.

    Thanks, Bob.

I learned the Root1 trick from another poster a few years ago. I can't recall who it was, but it's he who deserves the credit.

    Cheers,
