    Default Melodic Minor Exercise

Here's a little exercise I put together for one of my students struggling with finding applications for the melodic minor scale, its simply the scale tone chords 4 bars each to solo over using the scale, aim of the excercise being to familiarize yourself with the 'modes' of the scale and to more easily spot chords in a progression where it might be used. hope someone finds it useful. If anyone has any requests for similar exercises message me.

These first 18 progressions should get people comfortable playing over all major key modulations in all 12 major keys, both in a II-V-I format and a faster V-I format for each modulation-type.

Default Circle of fourths . only 4 chords

    4 V7's exercise practice
I think it's good to concentrate on just 4 at a time , then modulate.

    Default Half Bar II-V7Alt-I^7

I'm digressing on the II-V7 phrases and revisiting my basics for memorization of phrases. I look forward to sharing practice tips and concepts in this life long journey.

Main Chords And Scales- One key

Here is a badass run through all chords off one note at a time. I even included the typical scales you can use over each chord to be helpful

Helps you do scale runs and patterns while
Altering the right notes. Change keys to get the problematic keys up to speed.

    Enjoy making music!!!

Main Chords And Scales- One key 1

Alternate version of all main chords in one key. These last two measures giving you more time to experiment

Includes text for recommended scales. Scale options taken from Jerry Coker and Aebersold scale syllabus.

    Default Modal Exercises Progressions

I did three all in C. Just transpose for whatever key you want.
Two have the Greek names and one has Roman numerals .
One I found by Ade Stevenson is not diatonic but goes through related keys with the same root.

    Modes Exercises (4 Songs)

    - Major Modes Practice In Sequence
    - Diatonic Modes 4 bars each
    - Diatonic modes 1 and 2 bars each
    - Modal Progressions
