    Default internal time challenges exercise

Be sure to turn off the drums. Looping sections is recommended.Use modulation and feel free to change the chords. Do a variety of tempos.

Don't post a playlist as the songs in a Realbook if the changes aren't from the book.
If you do transcribe changes from a book put it in the title RB1, RB2, GGB, Sher, etc

    Default Dominant 7th Practice

    Hi folks,

Newbie here. I truly love this site and have been using the Blues backgrounds with my online students. I'm now diving in to Jazz and would like to know if there is a Dominant 7th exercise that allows my to repeat a single dominant 7th chord. The one that I have downloaded only plays one measure at a time (although the changes are written for two measures).

    Thanks.

    Hi TW,
You can probably find something you can use in this thread.

    https://www.irealb.com/forums/showth...tice-Exercises

However, it is super easy to make your own exercise chart.

Or use any existing song chart, LOOP just a group of bars you want to play over and over……

    Try practice mode (graduation hat).

If you list the composer name on the chart as ‘Exercise’ all your practice charts will be easy to find.

I think this is a very musical way of practicing minor II V I. I call it the Benny Golson circle because It happens a lot in his compositions.

Great job Trane freak . Great work , beginner, and intermediate exercise . Next step of course is to do this, without your written in guide tones.

You may find this guide tone video interesting https://youtube.com/watch?v=0jY3zoDpZfs&feature=shares
