    Default Walking Bass Exercises

Frank Vignola made a book of easy walking bass lines to simplified versions of ten jazz standards with chord progressions commonly encountered in jazz. He suggests studying these bass lines and playing them along with a chord player, but there is no accompanying CD with his book. So here are backing tracks for his simple arrangements, just as presented in his book, but with each tune played twice through with turn around chords (when he gives them). Of course, more complex versions of these tunes can be found in the 1300 jazz standards playlist. These are just for beginning bassists using Vignola's book.

My first attempt at creating charts, so go easy. Starting to work through this book now. This is the "A" section, done in 2 parts. I'll upload more as I work my way through the book. Any feedback will help with further charts
