    Default Beginning Jazz Improvisation

After a 30+ year hiatus, about a year ago, I returned to the trumpet.

Since then, I have been trying to teach myself to improvise with Jazz and Blues.

I've purchased a couple of different courses, including a number of Jamey Aebersold's products, and have made SOME progress.

(I must say, however, though Jamey Aebersold is obviously a jazz/musical genius, for someone just learning how to improvise, his stuff is not exactly "user friendly.")

As one who is new to this app, are there videos somewhere that teach the basics on how to best use IReal Pro in learning how to improvise?

    Any advice/help would be appreciated.

    Thanks.

Since you have Aebersold, their site has a handbook with information on how to start improvising.
    Free jazz tab>Jazz handbook
On those pages is a list of other books and references you can use.

When you are practicing with iReal Pro, remember to set Global transpose to Bb
    (information in Settings>Tutorials>Transposition)
