Default How to make maj7sus2 chords?

    Hey, there's a song where I'm trying to play a D^7sus2 chord (playing the notes D, E, A, C#).

The D2 chord is pretty close (D, E, A), but I'd really love to get the C#. Is there any alternate name for the maj7sus2 chord that I'm missing?

    THanks!

    Have you tried a maj9 ? D^9
Another idea to try is Dmaj7/E.

When I play that on my piano, I hear A/D. Just an A triad with a D bass note.
There's two kinds of mistakes you can play: The ones you notice, and the ones somebody else might notice.

... then you can use iReal Pro's 'alt' chords (the small chords appearing above the main chord system) or text (then perhaps move it up above the main chords) to enter your maj7sus2 (no3) designation for anyone reading your chart whereas the player will only play from the main chord systems.
