    Nice technique for the melody, but it's all wrong - the piece is in D, but you set it in C major! It was pretty confusing, at first, then I noticed the key you set the piece in and I got it...

    You're right, it's in D (actually A dorian / D ionian)!
    I guess I was thinking A aeolian when I started jotting down the melody.
    (Key C simply means no sharps or flats to me.)
