    Any suggestions on improving playback or layout of cut-time tunes is welcome!

    I added a couple extra measures at the end for turnaround, but some may prefer just two measures of C.

    You could experiment with using a "blank" chord with a specified bass note on the first beat of a measure with N.C. In the next space. |w/G NC |w/F NC |w/E NC | It won't mute the drums but it might be closer to want you want.
