Is there a limit to the amount of songs iRb can handle?

I have tested about 3000 songs on ipad 1 (I think I have had it up to 3800.) Basically the songs are 'text' files in our proprietary format so are quite small. It will take a little longer to launch initially with more songs and playlists but otherwise should remain responsive (swiping, search, playback etc.)
You might need to use Search more in order to locate a song (rather than trying to swipe through the song index) but you can set up specific playlists for organization.
Update 5/19/17
I'm currently using an iPad mini 32GB from fall, 2013
My iRp app has ~ 10,750 charts

FYI: iPad 1, 75 playlists (and I just culled a bunch), 4331 songs (so far...)
Opens in <15 seconds. Functions w/o delay once open.
I've always used the search feature in the song index.
Looking for: It's Only Paper Moon ?
Just start to type: p a p... There it is. Much, much faster than than a paper fakebook(s)! (lighter too)
I also have iReal b on my android phone (just in case the magic-smoke should leak out of mt iPad)

Thanks guys, nice to know. At the minute my iDevices have around 2500 songs and are working fine. Looks like i’ve plenty of headroom left before needing to even think about it. The search function is also used here constantly, it works a treat.
