Default How to get and install iReal b 4.4 for first generation iPod Touch?

I bought iReal b for my macbook and for my ipad mini, and for convenience sake, would love to have it on my old iPod Touch first gen. No more dollars this year for updating that piece of hardware, but its size would be a bonus for certain gigs and rehearsal.

The last version that works appears to be version 4.4. Anyone know how to get that version of the app, and install it? I'm not opposed to jailbreaking if necessary, but if anyone has quick advice, I'd appreciate it. Thx.

    different situation, same question:
I updated on my Mac in iTunes to iReal-b 4.5 (silly me!)
On my first-gen iPod I am still on iReal-b 4.4 - so its working there.
But how can I backup this running version to my mac?

    thanks for any help.

    I Found the solution myself.
How to recover any app you have only on your iPod (and not in iTunes) and you can not get in iTunes Store:

    Preparation 1:
==> make sure in iTunes automatic sync for devices is switched off!!
    - open preferences
    - go to "devices"
    - make sure the box is checked that says "prevent iPod.... from synching automatically"

    Preparation 2:
if not already done: remove app in iTunes that could be "in the way" (in my case a "too new" version of iReal b)
    - open iTunes
    - go to Apps
    - select the app
    - do you want to save this app/version for later --> right mouse click "show in finder" and copy it to a safe place
    - delete it anyway from iTunes: right mouse click "delete"

    now the actual recover:
    - connect iPod to iTunes
    - right click on connected iPod (or other device) -> transfer purchases
    - ... wait ... the app will be saved _from_ iPod _to_ iTunes (along with other stuff that is not present in iTunes)

now you might have to handle releases and sync actions carefully.
I made a "ios-apps-backup" folder in my documents and keep there all important app-releases.
