    Question Can I insert rests?

Is there a way to insert one or two measure rests? Is so, how?

you can use N.C. (no chord) but no rests as such yet.

It WOULD be nice to have a real (no drums) rest...

Default Real Rests... Can we revisit this feature request sometime soon?

This still needs to be added IMHO.

I am reminded of this every time I edit a tune or use IRB on a gig (just today in fact). It seems to me that if the count-in can be rendered silent, there must be some way to code this app so that other silences could be inserted at will while keeping time.

Still head and shoulders above any other music app I've seen!

In the meantime, I'd love to have the option to insert a simple Rest Symbol, for that one beat within a bar where a big gloopy N.C. would butt up against surrounding chords. I vote to dump the "three arrows down" button and replace it with something more useful.

Dang. I was hoping I could find a solution sooner rather than later.

I interpret this to mean that it may be on the near horizon...? This would get my vote for #1 killer feature!

No can do, at least, not yet. NC (no chord) silences the two instrument tracks but not the drums.
The feature tacet (rests/breaks) has been talked about. It'll happen when/if it happens.

Another option to try would be to bring up the player control screen and slide the drums to OFF in real-time using the mixer feature. You could also record the track to another device or perhaps midi-export, fix it and play it fom the other device.

Remember, the player feature was added to the app as a "practice" tool. That some are using it in performance is a reflection of the great work of the developers!
