    Default Windows 11 beta-testing only

    UPDATE 8/23/2023
    Reported by member:
Following its latest update, Win11 is supposed to be able to import and transfer iReal pro html files (charts and playlists) so using this thread may no longer be necessary.

    ***********
    Update: January 2023
Windows 11 does not provide full functionality for iReal pro at this time.

Currently, it is only possible for Win11/iRp to import a few songs or single songs using email, but there is a block on more than just a few songs at one time.

iReal pro is all about chart sharing.
Chart Sharing is essential to our core function.
Import and export, single charts, small and large playlists and *Backups*.
    …ESSENTIAL.

Without the ability to export/import BACKUP files of your iRp content, your work is at risk of being lost should Win11 or its new MS android-like subsystem (still in development) crash and loose your data.
    (What? An MS device crashing?????)

We understand that some beta-users of Win11/iRp may have extensive personal iRp content in other devices and are unable to easily transfer it into Win11/iRp in the usual ways. (Email, iCloud, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.)

We would prefer that our Forum posting guidelines are followed, specifically in regards to “correct composer” information on charts posted in the forums.
Always remember to include correct composer information on charts posted in the forums.
    https://www.irealb.com/forums/showth...er-information
We realize that due to time constraints, that may not be possible at this time for some Win11 beta-users.

To help you transfer bulk content to Win11/iRp you may, for the time being, while MS development is progressing, use THIS thread for that limited purpose.

This thread is for bulk transfers only.
No Win11 discussion, No support questions.
    More Win11/iRp info here:
    https://technimo.helpshift.com/hc/en...on-windows-pc/

Here's how this thread will work:

    1. Make a “test” post here and tell us what device you are using. When you can see your post, you will have been approved to use this thread.

    2. Using this thread, post your playlists to transfer.

    3. Immediately import your material into your new device.

    4. As soon as you have completed your transfer,
DELETE YOUR POSTS TO THIS THREAD.

In any case, all user posts to this thread will be purged every 24 hours.

If your charts meet our posting guidelines, please use the regular Sandbox for transfers and sharing among bandmates. Easier for you, all your sandbox stuff is in one place. Just one link to give to others for personal chart-sharing.

    Helpful info:
    Using Sandbox Threads

    Backups:
I do not know what file-size limits apply in this thread.

So, you can try to post/import a backup from an existing device, but I can’t predict the result.

As soon as the MS/Win11 system can support playlist transfers, this thread will be closed and removed.

I hope that this *temporary* Win11 thread helps you with beta-testing this new and developing platform.

Remember to delete your playlist post as soon as you have accomplished the transfer between your devices.

Please review these guidelines for forum posting

The missing composer info for most of your songs is easily found on charts already posted on the forums.

Be sure to correct your charts if you want to share them using the forums.

Can't Take My Eyes Off Of You was composed by Bob Crewe-Bob Gaudio

Often the performer is not the composer.
You may include the performer (version) with the song title.

Please use correct iRp chart-info format.
    Example:
Jailhouse Rock (Elvis Presley) - Jerry Leiber-Mike Stoller
    ...title……………....(version)…… - composer(s)

Be sure to correct your charts

I see that you keep saying that composer subject but I did not write these charts and I do not check the composer while importing and sharing bulk playlists. I think the person who writes the charts should be encouraged not people who use them IMHO. There are 3000 songs in my app. Should I be correcting each of them one by one 😉

Please check that the composer information is correct on charts YOU post in the forums (regardless of the chart’s source) We have no concerns about the charts in your library. Only the charts you share on the forums.
The forums evolve over time, you should too.

Let me clear something out Bob if I may ; I totally understand the reason behind this policy of yours within the general context of this forum. As a recording and performing artist I totally appreciate it. Please correct me if I am wrong but this particular thread supposed to be a quick solution for us Windows 11 users to post our playlists urgently that we will play within a few minutes to be able to import to it on Windows then delete it immediately after importing. So how is it conducive to make sure to check each song has the correct composer written by the creater of that particular chart and spend probably hours for our main goal within this beta thread. This thread supposed to be replacing the lack of ireal pro's Windows version's lack of device playlist sharing. 🤔
Can't you guys make an exception to this thread as long as the post is deleted immediately after importing... Because I have no other choice since I am using a windows tablet...

    You are correct.

This thread is to help existing iRp users to transfer their content from other devices to their new iRp app on a Win11 device. This is a temporary workaround.
As soon as Microsoft corrects the current issues that make transferring iRp content difficult with Win11, this thread will be closed and removed.

My reminders are to assist you (and new members) to write or correct your charts (as required) so your future use of the forums will be successful.

It usually only takes a few moments to add correct composer info or reformat the title on a chart. It's much easier to fix one or two charts at a time as you encounter the issue.

Let’s all do our part to make the forums a valuable resource for the future.
    We’re all in this together.

    Thanks
