Default can't enter ">" for accents with Text tool? (iPad)

Using the text tool, I'd like to enter a greater-than ">" symbol and position it above the chord symbol to indicate an accented and/or anticipated/syncopated beat. Almost any other special character seems to be accepted by the Text tool, but not >. Anyone know why? Thanks.

it is used internally as part of the original song code. As an unsupported workaround, you could use an Alt chord (so it appears above the chord), type W>
The W generates the invisible red dot (usually used preceding a slash, then bass note), but allows the accent to display (it appears small however.)
Keep in mind this is unsupported, so there is a very small possibility that the song could cause unforeseen problems in future versions of iReal b (it might not view correctly, or crash when trying to view it for instance); but it might be useful for now.

At some stage we might address this issue.

clever workaround! thanks, I'll use that. Please do consider building in some sort of supported means to use ">".
