Any suggestion for a style that sounds like hawaiian steel guitars?
Doing an IRP chart for the john prine song let’s talk dirty in hawaiian. It’s definitely not strictly hawaiian, kinda country hawaiian. His recording has nice evocative steel guitar (pedal steel) playing as accompaniment. Does anybody have a suggestion for the best (most similar) style or sound to his recording? Thanks…or i just thought of this, haven’t explored this much, if at all, before, but changing the default instruments in the style? Is there a pedal steel instrument i could choose? Thanks.

iRp doesn’t currently have a “Hawaiian steel guitar style.

As a starting point, I’d suggest trying Pop - Country.
    In the mixer, I’d choose:
    Jazz Guitar ~ 60%
    Nylon Guitar 100%
    Acoustic Bass 100%
    Drums 0-20%
    Reverb ~40%

    ~ 145 BPM

sorry. i didn't see your request to post the prine chart. i did create something. i think it's accurate enough, but it really doesn't capture the flavor or sound much like the song. not sure what else i could do. but i guess it's ok for my purposes. will try to figure out how to post. might not get it right for a bit.

Got a request to post this if i created the chart, so I’m posting it. First time posting chart. I’m not very happy with the sound of it. Not sure what i could have done to get a better sound but simple chord structure is accurate anyway. Let’s see…i think i paste it here?

Enclosing the entire form in repeat brackets is not needed. Instead, use theplayer repeat setting.

    Good first chart.
    Thanks for sharing.
