That's No Joke - Joseph Bailey

This song was recorded in 1961 by Gloria Lynne on her album "I'm Glad There Is You," and also (in 1961) by Shirley Horne on "Shirley Horn At The Gaslight Square 1961." In 1966, Blossom Dearie recorded it as part of her "Sweet Blossom Dearie" live album. I've charted it in G, the key in which Lynne and Dearie recorded it. I feel like there are flaws in some of the chord choices; a friend helped me with this and I think she got pretty close. I'd welcome adaptations. Thanks.

Here's how I’d format your chart.

Thanks so much! Your adjustments and suggestions are really appreciated! I wish I could find out more about Joe (Joseph) Bailey. I THINK--from what I've been able to find--that MAYBE this is the same Joseph A. Bailey that did some pretty brilliant work for Sesame Street and The Muppet Show--but it could be a coincidence (there are M A N Y guys named Joseph Bailey who accomplished various things...). Would love to find out more. Thanks again.

I suspect his active career predates the tv show era

(I don’t think the Sesame Street/Muppet writer played in Louis Armstrong's Orchestra)
