Default Great song great work but

Did you notice the second chord of the song should be Em
    Not Dm. ?

Default What this chart needs now . . .

    More suggestions for Burt's tune:

The fourth bar of the B section should just be a single-measure repeat, not a two-measure repeat, n'est-ce-pas?

I also suspect that the D9 chord at the end of the B section holds for two bars, making the B section 16 bars in length. True?

Sorry, but files posted above have a couple of mistakes compared to the original tune.

For example, the B section should be only 15 bars long, not 16. And the G69 chords in the B section should be G9 chords.

And the tune doesn't repeat ABA, but AB, until the last chorus, when A is played going to the Coda and the extension on section C.

Here's my corrected version, from Chuck Sher's Standards Real Book. I've also added a few passing bass notes.

What The World Needs Now-Rev JE - Burt Bacharach

    Cheers,
    Jer

P.S. This tune belongs in the Jazz section as well. It's an excellent improvisation vehicle.
