Thread: entering text in charts

    Default entering text in charts

I am using text input to help myself learn chord tones. I enter the chord tones as text below each chord. But when there are multiple chords per measure, the letter tones overlap. I don't see a way to use multiple line text input, but maybe someone knows of how to accomplish this? Ideally there would be the ability to input multiple lines of text.

As you probably know, entering note letters or chords using text is key specific. ie. text doesn’t transpose with the chart to match other keys.

Although it may not benefit your desired use, the alternate chords (small chords above the measure) will transpose along with the chart.

Scale numbers (135) aren’t key specific.

Another option to consider is to edit your chart to lengthen problematic measures by inserting additional spaces into the measure.

You may find the Chord Scales feature helpful.
