Using Bar-repeat signs, Slash and N.C. (no chord)
Bar Repeat Signs, Slash, N-C- - Example - Example
To repeat ONE measure use a single bar-repeat in the second space of the following measure so it appears in the middle of the bar.
To repeat TWO measures, use a double bar-repeat entered in the 4th space of the following measure so it appears ON THE BAR LINE between the two repeating measures.
It's best to use a template and make measures the same length when possible.
Chords should be entered on the first space in a measure. If they are to start later in the measure, enter a slash (/) on each beat where the chord from the preceding measure is to be continued.
Use N.C. (no chord) to briefly silence the chords (drums continue).
You can use S small font to reduce overlapping in crowded measures.
By using S and N in the editor (small/normal chord-font) chords can be made more readable in crowded measures. Remember, each N or S applies to all subsequent chords in the chart. When you use S to make a couple of adjacent chords fit better, please use N on the next chord to reset the rest of the chart.
Please use the small font only when necessary to fit several chords in a crowded measure.
The normal font is easier to read on smaller (phone) screens.
