Default What Did I Have That I Don't Have - Lerner and Lane - Reharm

What Did I Have That I Don't Have? is from the 1965 musical On a Clear Day You Can See Forever, by Alan Jay Lerner and Burton Lane.

The song has been covered numerous times, almost always as a blockbuster, by Barbra Streisand, Sammy Davis, Jr., and many others. I don't care for any of those hyped up versions, so I haven't included any YouTube links.

I think it works better as a ballad, so I've reharmonized it as such.

I've indicated above the line the original chords from the lead sheet in The Ultimate Broadway Fake Book by Hal Leonard.

My arrangement contains some bars that are double width, in order to legibly accommodate extended chords.

    Beautiful Jer,
The iRp player track (all by itself) is gorgeous as a stand-alone!
I could even imagine it playing in the background at a cocktail party.
    Thanks.

    Thank you, Bob.

I hadn't thought of that. I can just send it to the gig and stay home and watch football.

    Cheers,
    Jer
