    Alternating sections on each repeat?
(Different A part for each repeat)

I’m trying to figure out how to write Holdsworth - 0274. On the first playthroufg I want the player to only play the 1. section and ignore the 2. section. On the second playthrough, ignore 1. and play 2. And the rest of the chart plays like normal. Does anyone know how to do this?

Here’s one way to play alternating A sections.

The reason for repeat brackets, segno, DS, DC and ending voltas is to save "ink" and space.

Sometimes, using “ink-savers” make the chart’s circulation difficult to follow.
Charts are usually easiest to follow when they play straight through top to bottom without jumping around.

Space is at a premium in iReal pro due to the current single-page limitation so using a perfectly linear chart flow is often not possible.

One more thing - after the second time around, it’s supposed to end at the C-section and go back to the top, but the player just goes to the 2. A-section again. It should alternate between the 1. and 2. A-section for each playthrough. Any way to do this?

    Thanks again!

Yup that’s what this chart does

    A1 B C A2 B C More than 1 player repeat = more of that form.

Ah, thanks. I made some changes and accidentally deleted the Fine.

Here’s a finished version with some errors corrected, and some chord changes made:
