Default Down South Camp Meeting - Fletcher Henderson-Irving Mills (Request)

    Hello,

I've used the search function and can't find this tune, here's a Youtube link to a Benny Goodman cover which is linked rather than a Fletcher Henderson recording because the feel is easier for dancing.

    Thank you,

    I found this score
    https://www.stantons.com/media/50807...mp-meeting.pdf
Check the guitar part for chords...
Many, most of the bars contain more than one chord.
The single-page iRp format may not be long enough for a complete chart to function in the player.
Multi-page, "reader" charts for this tune could be transcribed.
Or the player could be used for backing tracks, but only for a section at a time.
If you decide to write out iRp charts, please share them here.

Thanks for requesting this cool big band tune.

Thank you for the link Bob,

Looking at the score, I've written the chords down.. it's certainly long.. one of the longest I've so far written out on paper.

Shall see how I get on with IRp when there's some time, then share if/ when finished.

    Thank you,

    Jonathan

It's certainly ok to post multi-page charts of a long tune.
Just add p1, p2, etc. to the title.

    JGrainger,

It looks to me like the actual tune itself is only 24 bars long. If you want to make the chart as long as the big band arrangement you can use repeat signs.

The arrangement modulates to another key, but I think there's still room in one chart for the whole thing.

    Cheers,
    Jer
