    Question African Styles ?

As an ethnomusicologist and a sax player, would be interested in accompaniment styles related to some of the very diverse genres of African music. Some of these could work quite well in an iReal Pro context, IMHO. In some ways, the accompaniment is the most difficult part to play. And improvising on top of those lines can be a lot of fun.
Mostly thinking about Congolese Rumba, Soukous, Palm Wine… Some of the guitar lines could be particularly useful. It could be other genres as well. Even some from the Caribbeans/Antilles (e.g. Kompa, Zouk).
In a way, the different genres represented in “GuitAfrica” (another Technimo app) are quite close to my needs. But MIDI files would be more useful to me.
Been thinking about those for a while. Just started playing with Strum Session from AAS and it gave me further ideas.

So, any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

That would be nice. I'm also looking forward to have more ethnic (african, flamenco, Caribbean) styles
