    Big Thanks!

    I just bought a bass to play dub and reggea and this tune sure comes in handy.

    Furthermore I think this is the perfect beginner track because:

    - It has very few chord variations
    - It's slow (70bpm)
    - it grooves and you can feel it
    - Therefore good for practicing different rhythm variations

    For knowing what notes to play between the root notes I have currently the following procedure:

    - got to http://fretmap.com/#/major-blues-scale
    - select the key , here G
    - select a scale , I went with major blues. Not 100% sure how to pick this. I just let my ears decide.
    - look at the lower 4 strings which are the bass string in standard tuning *
    - as you can see, your fingers will move only between the 5th and the 9th fret. G,A,B and one single D at the end

    PS:
    I'm a bloody beginner. So if you can point me into any direction on how to learn all this harmonic stuff faster, I gladly take any advice.

    * If you know how to run javascript paste the following in a console to only show what you need to see as a bass player

    document.getElementById('fretboard-wrap').style = 'position: relative;top: 92px;'
    document.getElementById('current-root-scale').style = 'opacity: 0.1';
