Post Import Chord Symbols from MuseScore

    Hi all,
    I'm new here.

Trying to import into IRP chord symbols noted on a chart in MuseScore notation software in order to use IRP playback. Is there a way to do this without having to input by hand?

    Any help really appreciated!!!

As far as I know iRp does not have a way to import from any other format.

ALL of the charts available on the forums have been posted by forum members.

EVERY chart here was entered one chord at a time using the iReal pro editor.

The reason there's a chart available for a title is that some member took the time to write it out and then share it on the forums.

    Hi PDX,
    love your charts btw.

I took a chart from IRP and wrote my own lead sheet arrangement in MuseScore using chord symbols including tempo change and modulation. Trying to figure out a way to playback (MuseScore does not playback chord symbols) my arrangement in that I read but my hands are not up to tempo, so to speak.

Any thoughts or ideas out there very much appreciated.

    Thanks girrrl,

I remember you were looking for Melanie's skate-key song. I was happy with that chart AND how it worked with the player.

If I understand you correctly, you want the iRp player to follow tempo changes etc.

Sorry, at present, no can do. Fermata, rit. ral. < > ppp fff etc. are not understood or followed by the iRp player.
Expression instructions can be included on iRp charts but only as performance information for musicians.

    I'm not a MuseScore user....FWIW.

    Hi everyone !

I wrote a small plugin to read chords from a MuseScore leadsheet and then create a new song in iRealPro.

    https://musescore.org/en/project/irealpro

I use it quite a bit. Sorry it's MacOS only.

Hi pdx/Bob, Yes that Melanie tune is a cutie and I love singing it.

    Thanks for the info re:tempo.

I'm new here as you can probably tell so thanks for the clarification, very helpful!

    That's fantastic.

But how does one use the plug-in?

    Cheers,
