Not sure I understand the argument being made. For cross-platform apps to be good citizens on the respective operating systems, it is important to follow the platform specific guidelines.
The statement you make is not true. Take the app icon on macOS for example: it has changed over the years and went from round to square with rounded corners. Why? Because Apple changed the design guidelines for app icons on macOS in 2020. So clearly iReal Pro IS following platform specific design guidelines.

This feature requests is asking to do the same on Android. It would be great if this could be brought up with the developer. Thanks for considering.
