In Android, using the editor, tap to set the cursor position, then, long-press to highlight. Then tap the last space you wish to include in the highlighted section, long-press the section for the menu (Copy, cut, delete....)

There is a detailed tutorial inside the app in Settings/Tutorial/Sharing.
(You can also select the "?" in a circle at the top of an app page)
