Thread: Gig-Ready list

  1. #1

    Default Gig-Ready list

I play piano 4 nights a week using these tracks, bass and drums only. Here are several arrangements for tunes I call Gig-Ready: they don't look pretty, necessarily, but they have intros and/or endings, and after the first set-up pass to establish style, tempo and number of iterations, can be performed with a single click. I do NOT use the piano track, so while the chords are what I tend to play, they may not sound right with the piano track added in. It should be fine, but I can't promise anything.

All The Way Live: Medium Swing 90, 1X
4 bar intro, plays through 2x - just a simple approach

Cold Duck Time: subject to change style when Pop is released- even 8 140, 1X
8 bar (7+1) 1-chord build-up intro breaks to head - each pass breaks last 2 bars. Currently set to loop thru 10 x, then a 5x ending release to cut off end

    Desafinado: Bossa 142, 1X
F-Eb intro loop, full song 2x to F Eb loop 12x for end.

Fool On The Hill: Brazil 66 sort-of, Bossa 156 1X
    In C - CMA7-C6 intro, song 6x then hook repeat 4x to CMA7-C6 8bars out.

    Here's That Rainy Day; Latin 122, 1x
intro and outro vamp, song 4x - replace intro with your favorite variation

One Note Samba: bossa 160 1x, song 3x plus tag 2x

Stolen moments: med swing 94 1x
a little tricky - trying to get the Oliver Nelson feel, may be a little closer to Ozzy Nelson...4 bar intro, head 2x, blues solo choruses set for 4x, then back to top through head 1X out.

Work Song: med up swing 138 1x
another head with breaks - head 2x, blues solos set for 6x, head out

And that's it! As I said, these are for solo gigs, where the piano track is not used. When the new Styles are released, these may change, but for now, enjoy! (And feel free to replace the changes with your own favorites...) Anyone who has similar live performance-ready edits, please feel free to post.

I'm sure someone else will chip in here.
Without having my iPod with me, you need to access the forum from your device, bottom right on ibandb screen, log in and search for the songs you need and click on them. They should then be on your device. Give this a go.

Hi, I'm new to this, having just bought the app a few days ago. Love it so far!

How do you get the sound from your app to your PA?

Buy a stereo-small-jack-to-monox2-big-jack chord and just connect iPhone/pod/pad to 2 inputs in mixer. Or, the 2 mono plugs could be RCA-type (red and white, usually) and you plug those in the auxiliary inputs on the mixer. You'll get a mono signal because iRealb outputs in mono (for now...). You could use a mono cable but a stereo cable is always handier.

    Sharing Playlists

    Nice list.

Imagine for a moment if every member posted the same songs in *random* playlists over and over starting separate threads each time. The Forums would quickly become overloaded with duplicates and be un-searchable.

Also, because of slight differences in the charts, downloading the various playlists can result in many duplicate titles in your library.

Post personal playlists of previously posted charts in the SANDBOX forum.
Admin will purge posts in the sandbox from time to time.
To archive your playlists, use personal email, Dropbox etc.

The main song forums are for the benefit of all and you are encouraged to share NEW songs and arrangements.
Remember to include composer information on charts posted in the main forums.

It's best to share NEW (to the forums) songs ONE AT A TIME (in the most appropriate forum) in their own (titled) thread to make them easy to find, download and discuss.

Share different versions of already posted tunes in the discussion thread for that song.
Please use the search feature (magnifying glass icon at the top of the page) to check before posting.
If there's not already a discussion thread for that title, you can start one. (Title: <song title - composer name(s)>)

It's also ok to share a playlist of songs by a single band/artist/composer.
    (Identified in the title)

Please use the SANDBOX for personal use, gig-lists, transfers and testing.

    Thanks for sharing your list.
