6/8 count in

Having trouble with 6/8 count in It counts in in 2/4 and ends up being too fast to play
Is the a 6 beat count in and feel for player?

Hi Tim, no real 6/8 beat...depends what you want in rhythm. You might find it easier to use 6/4. This will give you the 6 beat count and if you are finding the speed too fast, each beat will be a /4 and not /8 (8ths.) The count you are hearing is probably the first of each of three:
