    Default Fermata

I've inserted a fermata at the last chord (also experimented placing it in the middle of the piece) and I can't discern any difference. Is it just for show?

The Fermata doesn't affect player function. It provides information to the musician
    (like rit. and ral.)

Thank you, but... the musician is not looking at the chord chart, he's looking at the lead sheet

I use the chord chart as a guide for some tunes with an iPad on my music stand.

And the chart can be printed out.

    Cheers,

Currently, the iRp player's timing isn't adjustable during playback. Only time-sig can be altered, not tempo.

Well, if the only place you're putting the fermata is at the end of the tune, you can just add an extra few beats by changing the time signature for that measure.

Yes - I've just worked that one out. I've included three 'quasi rits' in the middle of 'Alfie' by inserting bars of 2/4 - It almost works!!
