    If you can find it, check out Ray Charles doing this with Betty Carter & The Marty Paich Orchestra. I played a 60th wedding anniversary last year where this was "their song". To my ear, it just sounds like a march slowed down to a ballad (typical Willson composition). Not surprisingly, Charles' 1961 arrangement is the hippest I've heard.

    Gotta love YouTube. What I wouldn't give to have had it - and iRealb - when I first started playing. But then, that was before electricity...

    BTW, that's the late great (and fellow Dallasite) Fathead Newman on tenor.
