Default West End Blues - Joe “King” Oliver

West End Blues - Louis Armsstrong

This chart combines a normal blues and a jazz blues chord progression. I recommend setting the repeat to only one time with how I set this up (mostly due to the repeat at the end of the head out).

A Section: Normal progression for the Head
B Section: jazz blues progression for interesting improv (with altered dominants)
C Section: Normal progression for blues improv (repeats for 24 total bars)
A Section: Head out (last 4 bars repeat).

    Enjoy!

Louis Armstrong is the best performer of this song, but the songwriter is Joe Oliver.

This is the recording whereby Louis Armstrong codified Jazz ~1928. Truly a watershed moment ... Congratulations!
