Default You Keep Coming Back Like a Song - Irving Berlin

I arranged this beautiful standard with the head as a swing ballad, then two solo choruses with walking bass, then back to the head and a coda.

Be aware that this is meant to be played as a bass and drums backing track.

If you want to have piano or guitar on the track and don't want a chord to play on every walking bass note, you'll have to add a dot (.) after each W (Invisible Root code) in the Chord Field. (I didn't know about this feature when I wrote it, and didn't have time to re-edit it.)

    Another fine arrangement, Jer. Thanks.

But I think to make it Playback as you described, you need to change that last close repeat on the bottom line to just a close double bar, right?

I went ahead and added the dots to isolate those bass notes the second time through, and -- for me -- it reads better without the repeats and adding a 13th line instead.

    Man, I enjoy your arrangements!

    Jack,

My apologies for not getting back to you sooner. I was sick with a stomach ailment for two weeks.

As usual, thank you again for the kind words. I do love this song, lyrics and all.

The repeat I put on the bottom line makes the solo section play twice, which is what I intended.

    Cheers,
    Jer
