When I try it like I used to, the text I put a sharp or flat symbol into appears empty.

No response. So was the elimination of the ability to paste sharps and flats into text intentional, for some reason? Or was it just an unintended side effect of the update? Can this ability be restored?
For example, I can no longer make a chart that looks like this:
Root C: 1235 8765 - JHC after Robert Rawlins

You can still enter sharp and flat. After you open the Editor, tap on 'abc', then the button '123' on the left, then '#+=' and insert the '#'. For 'b', you can use the letter from the alphabet.
Let me know if it worked.
There are certain symbols we disabled as they were causing issues with importing songs.
Sure, a "b" can sub for a "♭,"
and a "#" can sub for a " ♯ ."
They're just not quite as . . . elegant, I guess. But then, no one ever accused me of being elegant. 😏
"b" and "#" will do from now on.
Thanks, Niki!
Symbols I use frequently, and would like to continue using if possible:
♩
♭
♮
♯
