    Question Cm6/9|5?

How would I input a cm6/9 with the 5th in the bass?

    Stacked: 5th, 3rd, 7th, 9th?

System does not seem to recognise a D7b5b9 chord..

    try this
    C69 G bass D7 b9 b5 - bobsax

I personally prefer a less dense approach to harmony. For me , it's all about the scales and a piano player playing (or trying to play) all the extensions just muddies up the sound.
All you need is root,7 and 3.
So long as the chord player doesn't play a natural 9 or 5 and the bass player knows the scale your using , imo, it sounds better

I suggest we all lobby for a 7 and 3 only style.

    Thanks Bob..

Sometimes I try to think like Bill Evans.. I often only want the upper extended harmonies and no roots, 3rds or 5ths even with the bass player. I enjoy moments of destabilisation.
