Phantom 6th in chords!

If i write a 7b5 or 7#11 chord it displays correctly on the piano chords diagram, but I seem to hear a 6th on playback! E.g. F7b5 plays something like F Eb G A B D, C7b5 is C Bb D E F# A. Can anyone shed any light on this, or do I need a good doctor?

To learn exactly what the midi-player algorithm has composed for the progression, (it's NOT the same each time)
You can export the midi-data and view the notes as played (that time).
Exporting to a notation program, would clearly answer your question.
