here is a slightly different version of Beatrice by Sam Rivers. I studied
with him in the late 80's. I still have the notebook with the changes in Sams own handwriting.

I've put the tune in Jazz Swing Two/Four, put in the back-beat chords in the last four bars, and added a Coda tag.

It's set up for ten choruses. I suggest playing the Head on the first chorus in two and the first chorus in four, then soloing on the next six choruses, then playing the Head on the last four chorus and the last two chorus.

I think you'll find that this swings more than just playing it straight.
