Default importing the html song/playlist file on a Mac OSX does NOT work.

I see the other threads here, however the discussions are not offering any solutions.
Importing a song or playlist file in the html format (I don't know of any other way) is NOT working on a Mac OSX. Not at all.
All versions are updated to the latest 6.1, I just did it a minute ago.

Dragging the html file over the dock icon doesn't give any different results. Anyway you try it, a window will pop up saying:
"The file could not be opened."

So what are we to do? Please offer actual help, thanks.

The reason I say the last bit is because:
In one of the similar threads, there is no help from the developers other than making sure the thread is in the proper forum.
In the other thread (although a little old Jan-2014) the admin asks for receipts of purchase, but basically the same dragging html thing I posted above.

Thanks. Very happy user otherwise, never had a problem with this before now.

Have you tried double-clicking the .html file? Safari should open (or your default browser) then click on the playlist or songs.
    Or try the File>Open.
