very low volume IOS 8

Hi - Ii just installed IOS8 on my ipad. When I open iReal I get this message"

Audiobus initialization problem
There was a problem setting up Audiobus communication. Audiobus will be disabled.
OK

I have no choice but to hit ok - when I do the app works but the volume is roughly one third of what it was before I upgraded to IOS 8. Nothing else has changed I know of that could have caused this.
