Ireal pro for bass guitar players?

Does this program work for bass guitar? Is there a setting to switch it to display the bass line? Or do you download separate song files for bass?

If this works for bass guitar where can I see available songs for bass?

Here are some suggestions for you:
1 Use Chord/Scales in bass clef notation.
iOS-tap bottom right icon in the bottom menu, tap scale icon and set to bass clef
Android-Settings>Chord Scales, set to bass clef then use the bottom right icon to turn it on
Mac-Preferences, set Chord Scales to bass clef

2 Turn off the bass volume in the mixer to play along with the player

3 Perhaps turn on the bass in the mixer to practice soloing (especially up the neck) as it give you a nice bass foundation to hear the root and chord structures clearly.

4 Export the midi file to a notation app and use the bass track notation to study or practice sight-reading. The player randomises the notes and rhythms so what you see in a midi file will not be what you actually hear the next time you press play.

5 Use YouTube (etc.) to listen to the bass lines, then use iReal Pro to practice with. (If you use the iOS version, use FIND in Song view>Send menu.)

6 Play around with transpose to practice in different keys and Tempo to slow it down to practice your bass techniques.

Hi can you be a bit more specific on how to change the bass clef please on a mac book pro i cannot find anywhere on ibookpro where to do this

As Dflat mentioned it, click on Preferences, set Chord Scales to bass clef.

After that, click on Chords at the bottom of the page, then Chord Scales.
